And onward!

There hasn’t been a lot in the way of new settlements lately because we’ve all been working very hard to gather supplies and improve the infrastructure. (Now that’s a lull I can get behind!)  A few more roads have come together, some messes have been cleaned up — the kind of stuff that’s boring to report and very useful to have.

Now that our basic server needs are met I’m enjoying the opportunity to relax and mess around!  I’ve been having fun building little structures and places for people to find in their explorations, things that are more form than function.  If you’d like to join me just let me know; we can ride down an empty road and add a little spice to it!

Happy crafting,

Simon

Almost Two Years

There’s nothing I love quite so much as watching a new member start building their first home in Hilmon.  Seeing those “vacant” signs replaced with new names warms my heart!

We are rapidly approaching Hilmon’s second anniversary, which kind of blows my mind.  Almost two years ago there were two of us and a crafting table under a misshapen mountain on a LAN world in my tiny apartment.  Those of you who remember our first castle can roll your eyes remembering the labyrinthine passages through the mountain and the disastrous hundred floor plans it took on.  We’ve come a long way.

This is just a little post to say thanks to all our members, the ones who only graced us for a while and the ones who laid the foundation for everything we have now, and my friends that I get to see and hang out with all the time.  You guys have been brilliant and fantastic and I’m so glad we’re on this adventure together.

Here’s to two more years of adventuring!

Happy crafting,
Simon
