Greetings comrades of Hilmon!
Most exciting news first: we’ve added a new server operator to the list! Willow (nistily) has been such an engaged and present contributor to our server, and she now gets to serve in an official capacity. We’re all happy to have her on board!
Pangaea’s been undergoing a lot of changes lately, and our infrastructure is filling out nicely. There are now teleport pads in the travel depot below Pangaea Seat, so that you can teleport to the city centers of different cantrefs. Hopefully this makes travel and exploration easier for everyone involved. If there’s a location missing or a glitch in any of the teleport pads, please send us an email and we’ll fix it as soon as possible.
Right now, some of the roads in and around Central Cantref are under construction to make them more suitable for horse travel. As with many of our large improvement projects, we’d love contributions from other citizens, so get in touch with one of the mods if you’d like to help.
The Hall of Bedrooms in Pangaea Seat has been expanded to allow more members to move in. If you don’t have a space, pick an empty room and move in! You’re welcome to decorate however you see fit, just remember to put a sign outside so we know who’s using the space. If you want to have a different home base, you don’t need a castle bedroom, but the option’s there if you want it.
Last but not least — the terrain of Pangaea is due for some major changes soon. Because of Minecraft’s algorithms, it’s hard to spawn independent continents with clear boundaries, something we at Hilmon would like to have for realism and for order. It’s going to take lots of work, but Hil and Simon have embarked on a project to create defined continent lines around Pangaea.
In the future, our aim is to create continent boundaries well in advance of thorough exploration and settlement, but since the server is so young it’s something we hadn’t done yet. There will be some disturbances in infrastructure — notably, all of Cantref Harada will be part of a separate continent at the conclusion of this project — but hopefully this will be a one-time deal.
As always, if you have questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact server ops in game or send us an email. We welcome ideas from all our Hilmon friends. ❤
Happy building!
Simon
